Position Summary


Network Security Administrator

The ideal candidate brings strong operational discipline, deep technical expertise, and a proactive mindset for preventing, detecting, and responding to threats.


Key Responsibilities


Network & Security Operations

  • Administer and maintain Cisco firewalls, switches, and VPN gateways.
  • Manage and monitor

    Cisco MXDR

    for real-time threat detection and response.
  • Configure and maintain

    Cisco Email Threat Defense

    policies (phishing, spam, DLP).
  • Manage

    Cisco Duo

    for MFA and identity-based access control.
  • Administer

    Cisco Umbrella

    for secure web/DNS-layer protection and threat intelligence.
  • Operate and maintain

    Cisco ISE

    for NAC, endpoint posture assessment, and policy enforcement.
  • Implement and support

    Cisco SASE

    architecture for secure user-to-cloud connectivity.
  • Conduct network and security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective measures.
  • Manage incident response and coordinate remediation steps.


Monitoring & Reporting


  • Maintain and fine-tune security monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Generate periodic reports on incidents, performance, and compliance.
  • Liaise with Cisco TAC and service providers for escalations and resolutions.


Policies & Compliance


  • Implement security controls aligned with

    NIST CSF

    and

    NIS 2.0

    .
  • Support internal/external audits and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, incidents, and SOPs.


Collaboration


  • Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams for consistent security enforcement.
  • Provide user awareness training and secure-practice guidance.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum

    5 years

    of hands-on experience in network and security administration.
  • Strong expertise with:
  • Cisco MXDR, Cisco Email Threat Defense, Cisco Duo, Cisco SASE, Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella
  • Cisco ASA / Firepower / Meraki devices
  • Deep understanding of

    TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols

    .
  • Familiarity with

    Microsoft 365

    and

    Azure AD

    integration with Cisco tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Cisco certifications (

    CCNP Security

    ,

    CCNA Security

    , or equivalent).
  • Experience with

    SIEM tools

    and

    incident response

    .
  • Knowledge of

    endpoint protection

    and

    cloud security platforms

    .
  • Exposure to

    multi-site hybrid network

    environments.
