Cybersecurity Project Coordinator (Client-Side Role)
Department: IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Reports To: Director of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity (Client-side) Location: Remote Time- 8AM EST To 5PM EST Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Cybersecurity Project Coordinator / Executive . This is a client-side position focused on supporting and overseeing the execution of cybersecurity initiatives through effective project coordination — without requiring technical implementation skills . The role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in project management and stakeholder engagement, who can coordinate deliverables between internal client departments and external vendors, ensuring projects are completed on time and in alignment with the client’s cybersecurity roadmap. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Execution and Oversight Coordinate cybersecurity projects led by external vendors (e.g., MFA, SSO, IAM, PAM, awareness training, compliance). Ensure projects align with the client’s cybersecurity objectives and deadlines. Monitor project progress, risks, and milestones; escalate issues when necessary. Maintain focus on delivery quality, compliance adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction. 2. Client-Vendor and Internal Stakeholder Coordination Act as the bridge between the client’s internal departments and third-party service providers. Schedule and facilitate vendor meetings (kick-off, status updates, reviews). Track vendor deliverables and performance against agreed SLAs. Coordinate feedback loops between vendors and client teams. 3. Documentation and Reporting Maintain up-to-date project documentation such as trackers, charters, status reports, and risk logs. Prepare dashboards and executive updates for client leadership. Ensure all documentation supports governance requirements (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001). 4. Change Management Support Assist client teams in communicating upcoming changes (e.g., access controls, MFA rollouts). Coordinate the rollout of new processes, tools, or awareness programs across departments. Ensure impacted users are informed and supported during transitions. Key Skills Strong client-facing communication and coordination skills Project management proficiency (tracking tools, stakeholder updates, timelines) Ability to manage external vendors without needing to perform technical work High level of accountability and attention to deadlines Understanding of cybersecurity program components from a coordination perspective Experience presenting project updates and risks to senior business leadership Work Conditions Remote (Work from home) Occasional after-hours support for go-lives or vendor escalations Limited travel to vendor or client branch locations (if applicable) Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field\ Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory) PMP or CAPM CompTIA Project+ or Security+ Knowledge of NIST CSF or ISO 27001 frameworks Experience 3–5 years of experience in project coordination (preferably IT or cybersecurity domain) Previous experience in client-side project coordination with vendors and internal business units Familiarity with cybersecurity project scopes (IAM, MFA, PAM, SSO, compliance) without needing hands-on implementation skills 📩 Interested candidates may submit their resume to career@softwarepac.com
