Job Role

Key Responsibilities

1. MPLS Network Management

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain MPLS network infrastructure across multiple locations.
  • Troubleshoot MPLS-related issues and coordinate with service providers for resolution.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of MPLS links.

2. L2 & L3 Networking

  • Configure, operate, and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 network devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Implement routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc.) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, trunking).
  • Manage network segmentation, IP addressing, and routing tables.

3. Bandwidth Management

  • Monitor bandwidth utilization and optimize network performance.
  • Manage bandwidth allocation for different sites and departments.
  • Work with ISPs and NOC teams for bandwidth upgrades, changes, and troubleshooting.

4. Network Upgrade & Integration

  • Plan and execute network upgrades, hardware enhancements, and capacity expansion projects.
  • Integrate new bandwidth connections, MPLS circuits, and point-to-point links.
  • Maintain documentation for network changes, diagrams, and configurations.

5. Cross-Team Coordination

  • Maintain regular coordination with the NOC team for incident management and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to support technical feasibility for new customer bandwidth or P2P opportunities.
  • Provide inputs to internal teams for improving customer service delivery.

6. Workflow Management

  • Maintain daily workflow for network monitoring, issue resolution, and reporting.
  • Ensure timely closure of network-related tickets.
  • Create SOPs, escalation matrices, and process workflows for network operations.
