Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in customer organizations to influence project details and outcomes.

• Execute changes in alignment with project governance and standards.

• Participate in multiple projects/programs, occasionally guiding project teams.

• Support and maintain existing Routing and Switching infrastructure, including Cisco Nexus, 3750, 3560, 6500, 4500, and other Cisco devices.

• Install, configure, and support Cisco Nexus (9K, 7K, 5K, 3K), legacy switches (3560, 2950, 6500, 4500), and routers (2800, 2900, 3900 series).

• Engineer solutions for integrating and updating routing/switching infrastructure in new and existing facilities.

• Troubleshoot routing/switching issues, including BGP, EIGRP, ACLs, VLANs, VTP, and STP.

• Write and review change documentation; perform peer reviews for accuracy and clarity.

• Provide post-change support and resolve client connectivity and interference issues.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for surveys and equipment installations.

• Follow Change Management processes and support deployments during nights/weekends.


Additional Responsibilities (Client-Specific Requirements):

• Perform hands-on implementation of pre-configured Arista network setups—no design work required.

• Execute Ansible scripts and verify successful execution; identify and troubleshoot any issues during script runs.

• Apply basic knowledge of Arista CloudVision Portal (CVP) to support deployments.

• Work within data center environments, particularly with leaf-spine architecture and data center fabric design.

• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients; strong communication skills are essential.

• Be ready to contribute immediately—no training will be provided.


Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in networking and data center environments.

• Data center fundamental experience is a must, especially with leaf-spine architecture and data center fabric design.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus (especially 9K) and Arista devices.

• Experience with LAN/WAN infrastructure and protocols.

• Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, VTP, STP.

• Familiarity with Cisco IOS platforms and tools like Putty/SecureCRT.

• Knowledge of fiber optic technologies (ST, SC, LC).

• Experience with SSH configuration and testing.

• Basic Ansible experience (script execution and troubleshooting).

• Familiarity with Arista CVP is a plus.

• Experience with WAAS and Arista devices is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, spoken, presentation).

• Proactive, self-starter with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Able to work independently and in teams, in both structured and unstructured environments.

• Comfortable working US hours and weekends for deployments.
