Network Engineer

You will be working as a Network Data Remediation Specialist for a leading Software giant in India. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive data audits and clean-up activities for Optical Transmission and IP network inventory systems. You will be responsible for reconciling physical and logical network data across various systems and platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive data audits and clean-up activities for Optical Transmission and IP network inventory systems. - Reconcile physical and logical network data across Network Management System and Inventory Management System. - Implement and enforce data governance standards, policies, and procedures. - Collaborate with engineering, planning, and operations teams to validate and update/fix network records. - Identify and resolve data anomalies, duplicates, and obsolete entries. - Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline data remediation processes. - Maintain documentation and change logs for all data remediation activities. - Support network discovery and capture remediation opportunities in Confluence JIRA. - Perform internal and UAT testing. - Identify defects and work with developers to resolve them. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience in Network Data Quality and Governance. - Experience in conducting data audits and clean-up activities for network inventory systems. - Strong understanding of Optical Transmission and IP networks. - Knowledge of data governance standards, policies, and procedures. - Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in developing automation scripts and tools. - Ability to maintain documentation and change logs. - Familiarity with network discovery tools and Confluence JIRA.
