Network Engineer L2

Role & responsibilities

• Advanced Configuration and Optimization:

  Configure, fine-tune, and optimize

network devices to ensure high performance and reliability.

• User Management:

  Manage user accounts, including adding, deleting, and modifying

user permissions.

• Security Management:

  Oversee and manage URL filtering, spam filters, and other

network security tools.

• Issue Identification and Escalation:

  Identify and troubleshoot issues with routers,

switches, VPNs, and wireless devices, escalating unresolved problems to vendors for

support.

• Network Documentation:

  Maintain and update detailed and accurate network

documentation.

• Performance Monitoring:

  Analyze and monitor network performance metrics such as

utilization, latency, and error rates.

• Device Installation and Configuration:

  Install and configure active network devices,

including routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA):

  Perform RCA for critical service failures to ensure

timely resolution and prevention of future incidents.

• Troubleshooting:

  Diagnose and resolve complex LAN/WAN network-related issues.

• Firewall Oversight:

  Monitor and maintain firewall configurations and logs to ensure

secure network operations.

• Project Implementation:

  Lead or participate in new initiatives and projects,

implementing services locally and remotely as required.

• Vendor Coordination:

  Escalate unresolved or critical network issues to principal

vendors for rapid resolution and support.
