Network Engineer

• Work in a critical role as a Network Engineer in the Network Services team, responsible for day-to-day technical and service oversight of the IT Network infra.
• Provide technical support across the network environment specifically across operational activities, major incidents, and problem management.
• Work with the architecture, engineering, capabilities owners/managers, vendor management and service providers teams to onboard new products and represent operations as required to ensure acceptance into service is successfully delivered.
• Responsible for Configure and Managing various network devices and services (e.g. Firewalls, DDoS, WAF, SLB, LLB, Routers and Switches).
• In depth understanding and strong troubleshooting skills across WAN technologies (e.g. SDWAN, MPLS) and Firewalls (e.g.Fortinet, Palo Alto)
• In depth understanding and strong troubleshooting skills across all key technologies in Enterprise Data Center, DR and Bank LAN Networks (e.g. VRF, HSRP, VPC, LACP, QoS, Multicast, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP & UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, SSH, IPSec)
• Configure IPSEC, SSL VPN, WebVPN, AnyConnect, DMVPN, VPN filtering and Group policies, TACACS in Cisco ASA.
• Performs monitoring, analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems
• Upgrading the IOS/Firmware/Patches as per Security team request and Vendor advisory
• Responsible for network configuration backups of DC/DR network devices & Branch network devices
• Responsible for Configure VLAN, Routing, NAT, ACL & Failover in Cisco routers / Switches.
• Manages and supports networking and security services in LAN, WAN and Internet network infrastructure.
• Co-ordinate with Security team & Monitors Network logs and follows-up on suspect events.
• Develops innovative solutions for existing/upcoming new network projects.
• Documents network change requirements, policies and procedures. Periodically conducts test of these documents.
• Prepare Network Policies and Compliance with established Bank standards

Expertise

• A bachelor degree or professional degree in computer technology or a related field.
• Ideally 3+ years industry experience with very strong knowledge in network technologies and incident management.
• Network professional with CCNP certification or equivalent level of experience with exceptional analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, and problem management abilities.
• Demonstrable record of accomplishment of support and troubleshooting of core network enterprise infrastructure and devices around Fortinet firewalls, Array SLB/LLB/WAF, Cisco and HP Aruba technologies as well as experience in working with MPLS wide area networks.
