Network Engineer

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. L2 Network Monitoring & Incident Management

• Perform L2-level network monitoring using NMS tools.
• Respond to alerts, diagnose faults, and coordinate incident resolution in alignment with SLAs.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of critical network components to maintain high availability and performance.

1. Router & Switch Configuration and Maintenance

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise routers and Data Center-class switches.
• Support dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and VLAN configurations.
• Regularly perform software upgrades, patching, and configuration backups.

1. Spine-Leaf Architecture with SDN Integration

• Design, deploy, and maintain Spine-Leaf network architectures using SDN controllers Manage east-west traffic optimization and scalability in modern data center networks.

1. Firewall & Network Security Administration

• Configure and manage firewalls, including NAT, VPN, and security policies
• Monitor logs, apply rule changes, and enforce zero-trust access principles.
• Conduct firewall audits and manage secure remote access solutions.
• Support policy-based networking and dynamic traffic management.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain updated network diagrams (including SDN overlays), configurations, and inventory records.
• Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and change logs.
• Document standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
