Network and System Administrator

Billimoria High School, Panchgani, is a premier residential institution focused on academic excellence and holistic development. To strengthen our digital and technical infrastructure, we are looking for a skilled IT & Network Administrator to oversee the school’s technology systems and ensure reliable, secure connectivity across campus.

Role Overview:
The IT & Network Administrator will be responsible for managing the school’s IT infrastructure, computer systems, and networks. This role includes maintaining hardware and software, providing technical support, ensuring data security, and supporting the integration of technology in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks (LAN/Wi-Fi), and internet access.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system and network performance.
• Provide technical support to staff, teachers, and students.
• Manage IT inventory, software licenses, and updates.
• Ensure data security, backups, and compliance with IT policies.
• Oversee smart classrooms, projectors, audiovisual, and other digital equipment.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
• Collaborate with vendors/service providers for upgrades, repairs, and installations.
• Support the use of cloud platforms such as Google Workspace and MS Office 365.
• Document IT and network procedures, updates, and incidents.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in IT & Network Administration (school/education sector preferred).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, servers, switches, and wireless systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and troubleshooting hardware/software.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
