Job Description

As a Network Administrator, your role involves ensuring that the network infrastructure of the organization's data network is effectively maintained. You will be responsible for tasks such as procurement, optimization, upgrade, and maintenance of network devices, monitoring network performance, identifying security breaches, and ensuring data security practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to server and network topology, equipment, and configurations. - Provide Level 1/2 support for problems identified within systems and the network. - Participate in creating, maintaining, testing, and executing the Disaster Recovery plan. - Generate technical specifications and requirements for purchasing new servers and networking equipment. - Plan, design, and monitor asset management, monitoring, and patch management tools. - Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call availability as needed. - Perform standard system administration duties including server installation, system/application installation and patch management, system problem determination and resolution, log analysis, etc. - Configure, test, and maintain LAN equipment and services, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN. - Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems using available network tools in a timely fashion. - Provide infrastructure services in all areas as needed such as storage, networking, load balancing, operating system, network security, directory services, server virtualization, system backup and restore, and system and network monitoring. - Contribute to the ongoing improvement of operational processes. - Establish a baseline for each IT asset and ensure adherence. - May require travel. - Provide high-quality Network/Security Services. **Skills and Experience:** - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and technology experience. - Knowledge of Networking OS (IOS, IPSO, SonicOS). - Skills in upgrading firmware, handling network outages, DDoS Risk Mitigation, and monitoring traffic. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Spiceworks, and Whatsupgold. - Understanding of network, network devices, firewall, etc. - Ability for technical writing and presenting factual information, analysis, and recommendations. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. - Team player with a participative management and coaching style. - Open-minded, desire to learn, quick thinker, and creative problem solver. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in Networking. - Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
