Network Administrator

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage network infrastructure, including hardware networking, software installation, and system administration.
  
• Configure firewalls and troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity.
  
• Perform outlook configuration and maintenance tasks such as setting up email clients and managing Exchange servers.
  
• Provide technical support for desktop engineering services, ensuring timely resolution of user queries.
  
• Collaborate with team members to resolve complex IT issues affecting multiple users or systems.

• Network Setup & Configuration:

  Install, set up, and configure network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and software.

• Maintenance & Upgrades:

  Perform regular upkeep, system monitoring, performance testing, and implement necessary upgrades and patches.

• Security Management:

  Protect the network by managing firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, VPNs, and enforcing security policies.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  Diagnose and resolve network issues, provide technical support to users, and resolve connectivity problems.

• User & Access Management:

  Administer user accounts, permissions, and authentication rights.

• Performance Monitoring:

  Analyze network traffic and data to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain accurate records of network configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.

• Backup & Recovery:

  Implement and manage data backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
