Job Description:

You will take architectural ownership of a substantial ASP.NET Core MVC ecosystem that serves as the operational backbone of our business. The system’s core complexity lies in its data architecture: a high-volume hybrid environment relying on SQL Server Linked Servers to bridge mission-critical data from Oracle legacy systems using Dapper.
As the Technical Lead, your mandate is twofold. First, Stabilize and Optimize: You will architect high-performance solutions for cross-database querying, mitigating the latency risks inherent in Linked Servers. Second, Modernize and Migrate: You will define the roadmap to decouple this application from on-premises IIS infrastructure, leading the transition toward Containerised (Docker) and Cloud-Native deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

Modernisation Strategy: Lead the "Lift and Shift" or re-platforming of existing .NET applications into Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
Cloud Architecture: Design scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure/AWS, managing resources like Load Balancers, API Gateways, and Managed Databases.
CI/CD Pipeline: Oversee the transition from manual IIS deployments to automated CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) that build Docker images and deploy to the cloud.
Advanced Data Ops: Architect high-performance solutions for Oracle-to-SQL Server connectivity (e.g., PolyBase, Linked Servers).
Team Mentorship: Guide developers on best practices for writing cloud-ready code (statelessness, configuration management).
Required Technical Skills:
Architecture: Microservices patterns, Domain-Driven Design (DDD) etc.
Container Orchestration: Deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), and Helm Charts.
Cloud Expert: Azure (preferred) or AWS\GCP.
DevOps: Building robust CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
Proven experience working with .NET Core 3.1 and above apps.
