This involves clarifying complex physiotherapy concepts, reinforcing clinical skills, and preparing students for examinations and professional practice. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in physiotherapy and a passion for student-centered education.  Roles and responsibilities Instruction and lesson planning Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions covering core MPT subjects such as: Biomechanics and Kinesiology Neurological Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Cardiopulmonary Sciences Paediatrics and Geriatrics Develop customized lesson plans and learning strategies based on individual student needs and learning styles. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including problem-based learning, case studies, and simulations, to improve student comprehension and clinical reasoning. Prepare and create supplementary educational materials, such as study guides, practice tests, and video resources.  Student assessment and support Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to identify areas needing improvement. Provide constructive and detailed feedback on assignments and clinical performance. Help students develop effective study habits, test-taking strategies, and critical thinking skills. Track and report on students' academic progress to university staff or parents, as required.  Clinical skills guidance Demonstrate and supervise students in hands-on clinical skills within a protected, low-stakes environment like a skills lab. Offer guidance on therapeutic techniques, patient communication, and professional conduct. Encourage reflection on clinical experiences, often through facilitated discussion and peer feedback.  Qualifications and skills Essential qualifications Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) degree from a recognized university. Minimum of 50–55% marks in the BPT program, including completion of a mandatory 6-month internship. Relevant clinical or teaching experience in physiotherapy. Excellent knowledge of physiotherapy subjects and principles.  Desirable qualifications PhD or MPT qualification. Experience in academic or clinical teaching at a university or college level.  Key skills Strong Communication: Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds. Empathy and Patience: Must be supportive, non-judgmental, and understanding of students' academic challenges. Instructional Expertise: Skilled in lesson planning, student assessment, and adapting teaching methods to different learning styles. Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and the ability to coordinate schedules and instructional materials. Motivational: Can inspire students to improve their confidence and achieve their academic goals.
