Mobile QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android using Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or similar tools.
• Develop automated test scripts with JavaScript, Java, or Python to validate mobile app flows and performance.
• Execute automated test cases as part of CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, etc.).
• Perform regression, smoke, and performance testing before releases.
• Track, log, and validate bugs, defects, and performance issues in collaboration with development and support teams.
• Collaborate with product and customer support teams to reproduce real-world issues.
• Create and manage test data, automate repetitive validation tasks, and improve test coverage and reliability.
• Document test cases, results, and known issues for internal knowledge sharing.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in mobile automation (iOS + Android).
• Hands-on expertise with Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or equivalent frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of mobile testing best practices for customer-facing apps.
• Experience in REST API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud-based test platforms (AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab).
• Working knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) for backend validation.
• Proven ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments with short release cycles.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience in early-stage or growth-stage startups.
• Availability to align partially with U.S. Eastern Time Zone working hours.
