Job Title: MIS Manager / Data Analyst Government Consulting Division

Job Summary

The MIS Manager/Data Analyst will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making within the Government Consulting Division. The role involves preparing budgets, managing MIS reporting cycles, monitoring financial performance, overseeing debtor management, billing, cash flow, and providing analytical insights to senior management. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to coordinate across multiple branches and project teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Budgeting & Billing Management

• Prepare

  monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual budgets

  for the division.
• Track budget vs actuals weekly and coordinate with branches for timely updates.
• Manage complete

  billing processes

  and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Review, revise, and update budgets based on management discussions.

2. Debtors Ageing & Receivables Follow-Up

• Maintain

  debtors ageing reports

  and follow up with branches for overdue collections.
• Highlight long-pending receivables and escalate critical cases to management.

3. Branch-wise MIS & Financial Analysis

• Prepare

  monthly Branch-wise P&L

  , performance dashboards, and MIS reports.
• Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, and highlight deviations with actionable insights.

4. EMD/BG Tracking & Recovery Management

• Maintain updated reports on

  EMD and Bank Guarantees

  across all projects.
• Coordinate with branches for tracking expiries, submissions, and recovery from departments.

5. Cash Flow Monitoring & Management

• Prepare

  branch-wise cash flow statements

  and conduct liquidity analysis.
• Provide early warnings for low cash positions and support cash flow planning.

6. Expense Review & Cost Control

• Scrutinize expense entries to ensure

  no unrelated expenses

  are charged to the division.
• Evaluate cost structures to identify inefficiencies and unnecessary expenditures.

7. Cost Optimization & Loophole Identification

• Identify gaps, leakages, and loopholes in cost processes.
• Present findings and detailed reports to management with recommendations.

8. Order Book & Revenue Forecasting

• Maintain and update the

  Order Book

  for the division.
• Track project-wise order execution status and forecast future revenues.

9. Project-wise Profitability Analysis

• Prepare

  project-wise P&L

  , revenue status, cost consumption, and margin analysis.
• Track pending deliverables, pending billing, and pending collections at project level.

10. Overall MIS & P&L Governance

• Maintain centralized MIS covering all operational and financial KPIs.
• Support management with weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports.

11. Comprehensive Reporting

• Provide periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) updates on all responsibilities, including:
• Budget vs Actuals
• Billing & Collections
• Debtors Ageing
• Cash Flow Positions
• Project Performance
• Cost Optimization Findings
• EMD/BG Status
• Order Book & Revenue Projections

Skills & Competencies Required

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, P&L, MIS, financial analysis, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency in

  Advanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau

  , and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with multiple branches.
• Detail-oriented, structured, and process-driven.
• Experience in government consulting projects (preferred).

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in MIS, Data Analysis, or Finance roles.
• Experience in consulting firms or government advisory projects is an added advantage.
