Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Migration Operations Center (MOC) support in a 24x7 shift environment.
  • Monitor applications, databases, and system alerts using monitoring tools (ICINGA, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and escalate problems as per defined protocols.
  • Execute operational procedures during production incidents.
  • Participate in customer incidents by providing data analysis, clear communication, and timely updates.
  • Configure and maintain servers at the database and infrastructure level.
  • Conduct proactive daily checks on databases and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot operational and migration-related issues.
  • Work with migration tooling for discovery, replication, and conversion.
  • Create shell scripts or small programs to improve process efficiency.
  • Recommend best practices to improve current operational processes.
  • Participate in rotational shifts and on-call coverage.
  • Continuously learn and support different database technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong experience with GCP in a Linux environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server (any combination).
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Network administration concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple incidents simultaneously under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Exposure to Monitoring tools (ICINGA, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Knowledge of migration tools (discovery, replication, conversion).
  • Shell scripting / programming knowledge for automation and analytics.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (MCSE, CCNA, GCP).
