JOB SUMMARY


We are seeking a dedicated Microbiologist/QC Analyst to ensure the highest quality of our USDA Organic dietary supplements. In this role, you will oversee microbiological testing, in-process quality control (IPQC), and environmental monitoring across all stages of production. You will ensure compliance with cGMP, USDA Organic, FDA, and other relevant standards, proactively prevent contamination, and collaborate with other teams to guarantee that every batch meets rigorous quality and safety standards.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Conduct

    microbiological testing

    of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products samples using recognized standard methods.
  • Monitor for pathogens, spoilage organisms, and total microbial counts.
  • Investigate deviations or contamination events and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate, auditable records of all microbial testing.
  • Perform

    physical checks

    including Organoleptic characters, weight variation, moisture content, ash content, pH, extractive values, Bulk density, Solubility testing, total soluble solids, etc.
  • Conduct

    chemical analyses

    of active compounds as per product specification.
  • Operate laboratory instruments as part of routine IPQC workflows following standardized methods.
  • Approve or hold raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products based on test results. 
  • Perform routine microbial and cleanliness monitoring of production floors, equipment, and utilities.
  • Conduct swab tests, air sampling, and surface monitoring to prevent contamination.
  • Ensure cleaning and sanitization practices are implemented and documented. 
  • Maintain complete records of all microbiological and IPQC activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with

    cGMP, SOPs, USDA Organic, FDA, ISO, AOAC, and USP

    , as appropriate. 
  • Prepare reports highlighting trends, deviations, and corrective actions. 
  • Collaborate with Production, QA, Warehouse, and R&D teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely batch release.
  • Provide proactive inputs to prevent quality deviations and maintain a contamination-free environment.


QUALIFICATIONS & Skills


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in

    Microbiology or Biotechnology

    .
  • Minimum

    2-5 years

    in microbiology, QC/IPQC.
  • Preferably in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food industries.
  • Microbiological testing expertise

    .
  • Familiarity with physical and chemical IPQC testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good communication for cross-functional coordination.
