Job Description

As a Body in White (BIW) Parts Designer, your role will involve layout, design, and development of various automotive components such as BIW Parts, Hood, Trunk-Lid, Automotive Glasses, Sunroof, Plastic Parts, Hood Latch, Fuel Lid Mechanism, and Cables. Your experience in 3D modeling and drawing preparation using CAD software, preferably Unigraphics, will be crucial. Additionally, you should have a basic understanding of Sheet Metal Forming/Joining processes, Plastic Parts processes, and working with suppliers. Key Responsibilities: - Conceptualize, design, and develop BIW Parts, Vehicle Front or Rear Fascia, Glasses, NVH Parts, etc. - Ensure feasibility compliance with regulations, manufacturability, and assembly requirements by engaging with the CAE team and resolving any issues. - Manage weight and cost aspects of the projects effectively. Desirable Skills: - Project Management experience Competency Requirements: Technical/Functional: - Proficiency in CAD Software, preferably Unigraphics - Understanding of Automotive Regulations in BIW Development - Knowledge of Sheet Metal and Plastic Parts manufacturing processes and tooling - Ability to manage activity schedules Behavioral: - Strong communication skills - Team player with a collaborative approach - Coordination with Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing functions - Adherence to established systems and processes - Capability to work independently, ensuring thorough checking of your outputs Educational Requirements: - B.E./B.TECH in Mechanical Engineering - Additional Technical Qualification such as M-Tech is acceptable with relevant work experience.,
