Role Overview

We are looking for a Metal Supervisor to oversee the production, fabrication, and finishing of metal components for bespoke furniture and architectural fixtures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal furniture manufacturing, strong technical knowledge of fabrication, welding, and finishing processes, and the ability to lead a workshop team efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities in the metal fabrication workshop.
• Plan and allocate work to fabricators, welders, and polishers as per the production schedule.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and furniture assembly details.
• Monitor fabrication, welding, grinding, polishing, and fitting activities to ensure precision and quality.
• Inspect products for dimensional accuracy, finishing quality, and adherence to design.
• Coordinate with the production engineer and design team to clarify technical issues.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of machines, tools, and safety equipment.
• Maintain inventory and material tracking for metal sections, sheets, and consumables.
• Monitor powder coating, plating, or paint finishing jobs when applicable.
• Maintain high standards of workplace safety, discipline, and cleanliness.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Fabrication Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in metal furniture or architectural metal fabrication industry.
• Strong technical understanding of stainless steel, mild steel, brass, and aluminum fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding techniques (TIG/MIG/Arc), bending, cutting, and finishing operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and furniture fabrication drawings.
• Hands-on leadership with ability to manage a team of 10–20 shop-floor workers.
• Familiarity with powder coating, plating, and polishing processes preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
