MERN Stack Developer - Lead

Role Description :

We are looking for a Front-End–Focused MERN Developer with strong expertise in modern UI development and the ability to support full-stack tasks when required. Experience in Shopify theme and app development, along with exposure to DevOps and cloud environments, is essential.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Salt Lake Sector 2, Kolkata. You will collaborate with designers and back-end teams to deliver high-quality front-end experiences while contributing to full-stack features and Shopify development projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop responsive, high-performance front-end interfaces using React, modern UI libraries, and component-driven architecture.
• Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into pixel-perfect front-end implementations.
• Build and maintain Shopify themes, Liquid templates, metafields, and storefront components.
• Contribute to Shopify custom app development (preferably using Remix, Node.js, Express, or Shopify App Frameworks).
• Support full-stack tasks including API integration, basic server logic, and MongoDB interactions.
• Optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Work with Git for version control and team collaboration.
• Assist with basic DevOps/cloud operations such as deployment, CI/CD troubleshooting, and environment configuration.

Qualifications :

5years or more hands on experience in the following -

Front-End (Primary Focus)

• Five or more years of hands-on experience with:
• React.js (hooks, context, state management, API integration)
• Modern CSS (Tailwind, SCSS, CSS Modules), responsive layouts, accessibility
• Component-based architecture and performance optimization
• Front-end build tools (Vite, Webpack, Next.js optional)

Shopify Development

Strong experience with:

• Shopify Theme Development (Liquid, Dawn, Online Store 2.0)
• Shopify App Development (Node.js/Remix preferred)
• Metafields, theme app extensions, storefront API, admin API

Full-Stack (Support Role)

Working knowledge of:

• Node.js and Express.js
• MongoDB and database schema basics
• Creating and consuming RESTful APIs

DevOps / Cloud (Basic Working Knowledge)

Hands-on with:

• Hosting platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, Vercel, etc.)
• Deployment workflows
• Basic CI/CD, environment variables, build pipelines

Additional Skills :

• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team.
• Good communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
• Git proficiency for version control and code management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
