Engaging with various stakeholders such as company owners, founders, C-suite executives, and intermediaries across different sectors is crucial. A KPI-driven, sales-focused approach is necessary to progress leads through the sales cycle with determination and creativity. The role values curiosity, strong business acumen, and relationship-building skills for success. Skills in M&A, venture capital, financial modeling, deal origination, valuation, financial analysis, and relationship management are desired. The position seeks to leverage expertise in Data & AI M&A for a challenging new opportunity. Responsibilities include identifying acquisition targets in the Indian and subcontinent software markets, building relationships through various channels, nurturing connections with stakeholders and intermediaries, collaborating with Business Unit CEOs to identify strategic acquisition targets, and maintaining the M&A Salesforce CRM. The ideal candidate should have professional fluency in English and native proficiency in Hindi, along with fluency in other regional languages. A minimum of 8 years of experience in business development or enterprise sales within a software company or related field is preferred. Exposure to vertical market software companies or sectors like Travel, Insurance, Healthcare, or Financial Services is an advantage. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is required. Effective communication skills, curiosity about the business landscape, enthusiasm for networking, self-motivation, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments are essential qualities for this role. Approximately 20-30% travel across India and internationally for meetings, networking, and industry events is expected. The work location for this position is in Chennai.,
