Role Description

MEP BIM Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models across MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration with architectural and structural models.
• Lead clash detection, analysis, and resolution processes using coordination tools, ensuring minimal design conflicts.
• Review BIM models for accuracy and BEP compliance
• Manage BIM workflows and ensure timely delivery of models and drawings
• Act as the primary point of contact for MEP BIM coordination between design teams, site teams, and external consultants.
• Prepare and maintain BIM documentation, including coordination reports, clash reports, and model status updates.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly to stakeholders.
• Support junior BIM engineers and coordinators through mentoring and technical review.
• Ensure accurate extraction of BIM data for drawings, schedules, and quantities as required by the project team.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• B Tech / M Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant MEP discipline).
• Minimum 5+ years of BIM coordination experience, including UAE-based LOD 400- 500 projects
• Strong experience in MEP modeling, coordination, and as-built documentation
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and coordination platforms.
• Solid understanding of UAE construction practices and BIM standards
• Experience in clash detection, model federation, and issue tracking.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and coordination skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple project deliverables.
