The Opportunity

Looking for an experienced software engineer with a track record for building scalabledistributed frameworks in a fast - faced startup environment. Within the NCM team, you'll find noshortage of challenging problems to work on. If the journey from idea to product and joining asmall team to make big contributions using modern technology and shaping the future productroadmap excites you, then you will be a good fit for this team.

About The Team

The role will be part of the Intelligent Operations team at Nutanix, which focuses on developingservices for Day 2 operations including monitoring, automation and remediation. This teamworks on creating scalable, distributed services that enhance the efficiency of NutanixInfrastructure management and observability workflows.The team is split between San Jose, CA, and India and embraces a culture centered aroundcollaboration, technical excellence and a pro-active approach to problem solving. The aim of theteam is to automate routine administrative tasks, and auto-remediate issues that may occur incustomers' systems and to innovate in this space. The new hire is expected to be in office for anaverage of 3 days a week, promoting collaboration while also enjoying flexible work setup.

Your Role

  • Design core software components for the NCM product, focusing on scalability and performance.
  • Implement the complete software development life cycle for assigned features, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
  • Write efficient code and conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product management and UX teams to define functionality and align on customer use cases.
  • Establish and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges.
  • Lead initiatives to innovate and enhance monitoring, automation, and remediation services for Day 2 operations.

What You Will Bring

  • 3-6 years of software engineering experience with a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or related streams
  • Proficiency in Go / Python / Java programming languages.
  • Proficient in REST APIs, YAML, Kubernetes, Cloud deployments.
  • Previously experienced in architecting and designing core software components.
  • The ability to write efficient, thread-safe, and highly performant code
  • Proficient with Linux, Git , JIRA
  • Having an owner's mindset and experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environment with good knowledge of SDLC practice
