Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Biller. The Medical Biller will be responsible for processing and submitting insurance claims, handling patient billing and collections, reviewing patient bills for accuracy, and ensuring all coding is correct for ICD-10 compliance. The role also involves addressing insurance denials and coordinating with insurance companies and Medicare to resolve issues. Additionally, the Medical Biller will maintain accurate records and documentation to streamline the billing process.


Qualifications

  • Understanding of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with ICD-10 coding
  • Experience in eClinicalWorks (eCW)
  • Knowledge of Insurance processes and regulations
  • Experience in handling Denials
  • Familiarity with Medicare billing practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience with medical billing software is a plus
  • Certification in Medical Billing or related field preferred


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter patient and billing data accurately into eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR system
  • Create and send insurance claims from the EMR to the clearinghouse
  • Monitor claim status and communicate with insurance companies
  • Process payments and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERA)
  • Reconcile claims and ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding issues
  • Coordinate with providers and support staff to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Able to download and interpret ECW billing Reports
  • Monitor AR-Denials
  • Able to Monitor clearinghouse (TriZetto)
  • NaviNet Eligibility
  • Update and Monitor internal Billing tracking systems.
  • Identify Patient balances- Track and Establish Patient payment plans


Work Setup:

  • Remote (Full-time or Part-time)
  • Must have a stable internet connection and a quiet home office environment

Monday to Friday 9AM-5PM EST

Shifts may vary depending on client time zone
