Media & PR Executive

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute community engagement events such as: Health and wellness camps
• Cultural, educational and recreational activities Sports tournaments.
• Skill building & vocational workshops (e.g., Culinary training)
• Self-defense workshops for girls and women, etc.
• Work closely with local community groups, leaders, NGOs and influencers to ensure participation and trust-building.
• Prepare event concepts, timelines, budgeting and BOQs.
• Coordinate with vendors and event agencies, negotiate rates, and manage logistics.
• Ensure event visibility, documentation and reporting (photos, attendance, community response).
• Create a safe, inclusive and respectful environment during all engagements.
• Maintain regular field presence across Dharavi clusters for outreach, mobilization and follow-ups.
  

Qualifications

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

• Hands-on experience managing on-ground events in slums / informal settlements / high-density communities (mandatory).
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with diverse community groups.
• Ability to speak Marathi, Hindi and English. Understanding Gujarati will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with preparing BOQs, vendor coordination, budgeting and procurement.
• Established network with event agencies, NGOs and local implementation partners.
