Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA. You will conduct stress, thermal, and fatigue analysis using FEA and simulation tools to validate designs. Additionally, you will lead the prototyping and testing phases to ensure that designs meet performance, durability, and safety requirements. Collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and production teams is essential to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness. You will also be required to prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and assembly instructions. Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues during production and field operations will be part of your responsibilities. Staying current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, ASME, API) is crucial. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reduce lifecycle costs is also expected. Furthermore, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to knowledge-sharing within the engineering department is a key aspect of the role. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus. - 5-10 years of progressive experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering. - Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, or similar. - Strong understanding of material science, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, welding), and GD&T. - Experience with project management, design validation, and compliance with industry standards. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits, testing, or client engagements.
