Join Our Buildings Team in Chennai

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings - MEP team, giving you the opportunity to co-create on some of the most prestigious Buildings projects in Scandinavia.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Prepare feasibility/concept studies and detailed design of HVAC and plumbing installations for building projects.
• Design mechanical services installations using relevant software tools and standards.
• Model and update project content in Revit MEP – both independently and in collaboration with our skilled BIM team.
• Coordinate models across disciplines (architecture, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and ensure clash detection in Revit.
• Ensure quality and compliance with COWI’s QA/QC processes.

On top of that, you should have: 

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in building services design.
• Documented experience with BIM, especially Revit MEP – preferably also Navisworks.
• Motivation to model alongside design work and take responsibility for your own models.
• Experience with HVAC/plumbing design according to international standards.
• Experience from a Scandinavian or international consulting firm is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English – both written and spoken. Excellent language skills are essential, as you will communicate closely with colleagues and partners in Scandinavia.
• Good collaboration skills and a desire to work in a global team.
