Mechanical Draughtsman/woman

BASIC PURPOSE:

TO PREPARE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DRAWINGS, ISSUING THEM AND MAINTAINING THEIR RECORDS AND ANY OTHER WORK RELATED TO DESIGN DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. QUALIFICATION:

1. Certified Mechanical Draughtsman from recognized govt. ITI institutes 2years course + must be NCTVT passed

i. Communication skills: Should be able to understand, read, write and fluently speak in English and Hindi language.

2. SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE:

i. Candidate should have thorough knowledge of design software like Autocad and solidworks.

ii. Basic mathematical skills(mensuration, basic trigonometry, geometry)

iii. Knowledge of IS/ ISO standard design course is essential.

iv. Candidate should have secured FIRST CLASS throughout his/her education

3.WORK EXPERIENCE : As Mechanical draughtsmen 3 T0 5 years at a stretch in Design dept. of metal cutting / metal /plastic forming machine, packaging machines manufacturing company only.(knowledge of hydraulics would be preferred)

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

The reporting hierarchy is to Senior design engineer/ Assistant manager design. This position has frequent day-to-day contact with

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (KEY RESULT AREAS)

a) Solid models in solid works and 2D autocad drawings, bill of material, process charts, process planning sheet, production process layout and component drawings. Drawings of jigs, fixtures, production tooling’s, work-study layout, assembly and maintenance procedures. Drawings of inspection methods and associated charts, drawings for design library. Drawings of hydraulic circuit, electrical circuit, lubrication circuit etc.

b) Preparing factory layouts, machine/equipment operating cum maintenance manual , dept. manuals

c) Preparing change notes and changing existing drawings as per instructions from higher authorities with authentication

d) Issuing drawings to planning and production department as per systems and regulations

e) Maintaining records of drawings issued to different departments and incoming drawings from production department and customers, records of work order, interdepartmental memos or request for changes or suggestions from other related departments regarding design.

f) Taking dimensions of components or machines and preparing sketches

g) Carrying inspection of semi-finished /finished components, equipment, machines and providing assistance to various depts. pertaining to drawings.

h) Taking prints and laminating drawings.

i) Operating 3D scanner and 3D printing equipment

j) Preparing models, documents, art work, excel sheets, drawings for sales promotion/any other department.

k) Offering technical support to production, quality control and vendor(from office or visiting production plants - Mahape/ Mangaon.)vendor plant and service department/ Sales department.

l) Executing any other task in the company within or outside the dept. assigned by the management based on circumstances.

(KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS) MEASUREMENT/CONTROL SYSTEM

1) Every activity mentioned above will be given specific time and quality requirement and quantity to be produced depending on the task.

2) Every activity assigned will be recorded in terms of quality, quantity and time, the same will be reported by Assistant Manager Design in written prescribed format daily after execution with deviation if any and reasons for the deviations.

3) Every task assigned, after completion will be checked by the immediate boss with reference to quality, quantity and time.

GROWTH TRAJECTORY

Based on performance, educational growth, new skill acquisition and culture fit, candidate will have positional /financial growth after every two to three years JR DESIGN ENGINEER, SR DESIGN ENGINEER, ASSISTANT MANAGER DESIGN.

WORK CONDITIONS:

i. Office working time from Monday to Saturday 8.30 AM to 5 PM, Sunday off

ii. Candidate will be on 6 months’ Probation and will be made permanent on the basis of his performance during probation period.

iii. 10th of every month is a salary day of last month transferred in account.
