Job Description: Mechanical Designer Engineer – Kolkata

Position: Mechanical Designer Engineer

Location: Kolkata

Department: Engineering / Design

Experience: 2–7 years (customize as needed)

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).

Prepare engineering drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOMs.

Work on design calculations, component sizing, material selection, and tolerance analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and procurement.

Modify and optimize existing designs to improve efficiency and performance.

Conduct feasibility studies, technical analysis, and product validation.

Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety norms, and project requirements.

Support manufacturing teams during production and resolve design-related issues.

Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Strong proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, etc.).

Good understanding of mechanical components, GD&T, fabrication, and machining processes.

Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, etc.) is preferred.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
