Job Responsibilities

Important activities

• Design, create 3d model, and test prototypes for products / Parts in 3d design Software
• like Solid Works, Auto Cad. ( Product Type: Instrument Enclosure, Electro mechanical
• assembly, Rubber seals / Parts, Injection Molded/ Die Cast / Press parts etc.)
• Create product concepts, performance and production criteria
• Produce final concept drawings and specifications.
• Create parts lists & Bill of Materials for assembly
• List costs involved in production.
• Make samples of working models for demonstration
• Plan Quality Assurance Criteria & make QAP
• Negotiate/identify appropriate production processes.
• Travel to production facilities to evaluate processes. Core skills
• Experience with mechanical design work and knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint or drawing documents
• Knowledge and experience with utilization of CAD/3-D Modeling Software.
• Good sketching and concept generation skills

Advanced skills

• Experience with various manufacturing process like machining & plastic molding, sheet
• metal fabrication, surface treatment, die casting, press operation, etc.
• Exposure to design & working of tooling as Injection mold, Press tool, Casting Dies, Forging, Rubber molding, etc.
• Exposure to design products for hazardous areas (Flame proof Product design) will be
• an added advantage
