Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Intern

Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Intern

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in creating and updating 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
Support design validation activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
Learn and apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles during modeling tasks.
Coordinate with internal machining or fabrication teams for prototype development.
Participate in team reviews, model inspections, and assembly planning.
Document designs, maintain revision history, and follow internal design protocols.
Learn and follow best practices in mechanical design, tolerance selection, and production planning.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Familiarity with CAD tools like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD.
Basic understanding of mechanical components, machining processes, and materials.
Good problem-solving attitude and eagerness to learn.
Ability to work in a team and take feedback constructively.

Preferred:

Exposure to CNC machining or hands-on fabrication (college projects, workshops, etc.).
Basic knowledge of simulations (stress/thermal) or DFM concepts.
Interest in rapid prototyping or product development.
