Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced mechanical professional to oversee the 3D modeling and machining workflow of product development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and manufacturing, and will be responsible for supervising interns, validating 3D models for manufacturability, coordinating with machining teams, and ensuring timely delivery of the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor interns involved in CAD modeling, simulation, and design.
• Review and validate 3D models for mechanical feasibility, tolerance, and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) compliance.
• Coordinate and push forward the machining process with internal or external fabricators to avoid delays.
• Act as a technical liaison between design, production, and quality teams.
• Ensure models transition smoothly from digital design to physical prototype or final product.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design or manufacturing issues as they arise.
• Maintain strict adherence to project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Strong understanding of machining processes (CNC, milling, turning, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and drive results independently.
• Prior experience supervising junior staff or interns is a plus.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with rapid prototyping or product development cycles.
• Exposure to materials selection and basic stress/thermal simulations
