This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the design and development of sheet metal components for medium voltage (MV), low voltage (LV), and control relay panel (CRP) switchgear panels.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and enclosures for MV, LV, and CRP switchgear panels using sheet metal.
Create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
Perform mechanical and structural analysis to ensure design integrity, durability, and safety.
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, production, and quality departments, for end-to-end product development.
Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation of new designs.
Continuously optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance.
Maintain proper documentation and revision control for all design outputs.
