Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer with 12 years of experience, you will be responsible for creating 3D models and 2D detailed drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar. Your role will involve assisting in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies, conducting tolerance analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative projects from concept to production. Your responsibilities will include participating in prototype development, testing, and design validation activities, supporting design changes and revisions, and ensuring adherence to design standards and best practices throughout the design lifecycle. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of products and design processes, utilizing your proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of engineering fundamentals. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with 12 years of relevant work experience in mechanical design or product development. Your familiarity with manufacturing processes, basic knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, and mechanical systems, as well as good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills will be essential for success. While not mandatory, experience with FEA or simulation tools, exposure to PLM systems like Windchill or Teamcenter, and basic knowledge of ISO/ASME design standards would be advantageous.
