Job Summary:

Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and design components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA,CADMate).
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and prototyping.
• Conduct feasibility studies, engineering analyses, and simulations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure design viability.
• Modify and revise existing designs to meet customer specifications, improve performance, or reduce costs.
• Prepare technical documentation including BOMs (Bill of Materials), specifications, and manuals.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in a design engineering role
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
• 3D Modelling and Software knowledge is required.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with FEA, CFD, or other simulation software.
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards (ASME, ISO, ANSI, etc.).
• Hands-on prototyping or testing experience.
