About The Opportunity
A private healthcare provider in the primary & secondary care sector delivering comprehensive OPD, IPD and emergency services in Kendrapara, Odisha. We operate a busy on-site hospital focused on high-quality, patient-centered care for the local community and are hiring a full-time Resident Medical Officer (MBBS) to manage clinical duties across OPD and IPD.Role & Responsibilities
- Provide front-line clinical care in OPD and IPD: perform patient assessments, diagnose, order investigations and initiate evidence-based treatment plans.
- Manage admissions, daily ward rounds and discharge planning—ensure timely documentation, medication reconciliation and clear clinical notes.
- Respond to emergencies and acute presentations—stabilize patients, perform basic life support, and escalate to senior clinicians when needed.
- Perform routine procedures (IV cannulation, wound care, catheterisation, injections) and monitor post-procedure care and complications.
- Coordinate referrals, liaise with specialists and diagnostic services to expedite patient care and ensure continuity across departments.
- Maintain regulatory compliance: medical records, consent processes, infection control protocols and participation in clinical audit and quality-improvement activities.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS degree with valid Indian medical registration (Permanent/Provisional) and eligibility to practice in Odisha.
- 1+ years clinical experience in hospital OPD/IPD or as an RMO/Medical Officer (fresh graduates with strong internship performance may be considered).
- Competence in emergency stabilisation and basic life support (BLS) skills.
- Strong clinical documentation, prescription writing and rational drug-use practices.
- Good communication skills with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams; professional bedside manner.
Preferred
- Experience working in private hospitals or community hospitals handling high OPD/IPD volumes.
- Training or certification in ACLS/BLS, basic emergency procedures or relevant short courses.
- Familiarity with hospital information systems / electronic medical records and basic quality improvement approaches.
