Industry:

• Provide round-the-clock antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, ensuring adherence to national clinical protocols.
• Conduct initial patient assessment, order diagnostics, interpret ultrasound and lab reports and formulate immediate management plans.
• Assist consultants in normal deliveries, caesarean sections, D&C and laparoscopic procedures while maintaining sterile standards.
• Stabilise obstetric emergencies such as PPH, eclampsia and sepsis; activate code blue and coordinate multidisciplinary response.
• Maintain accurate EMR notes, consent forms and discharge summaries while ensuring compliance with NABH regulations.
• Educate patients and families on birth preparedness, family planning and postpartum recovery, promoting evidence-based practices.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MBBS degree recognised by MCI/NMC with valid State Medical Council registration.
• 1-3 years hands-on experience in obstetrics and gynaecology departments of tertiary hospitals.
• Sound knowledge of labour room protocols, partograph usage and neonatal resuscitation basics.
• Proficiency in reading obstetric ultrasound, CTG and interpreting routine antenatal investigations.
• Ability to handle obstetric emergencies, initiate ACLS/BLS and follow infection control norms.
  

Preferred

• DGO/DNB OBGYN residency or labour room certificate course.
• Exposure to laparoscopic gynaecological procedures and infertility work-ups.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, ICD-10 coding and NABH quality indicators.
