Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Planner with 36 years of experience in the mechanical engineering field. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely availability of materials to meet production requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage material requirements to meet production schedules and customer demands.
• Analyze production plans and identify material needs, ensuring minimal production downtime.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to place and follow up on purchase orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans as needed to ensure accuracy and avoid overstocking or stockouts.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve material shortages and other related issues.
• Generate and maintain accurate reports related to material planning, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
• Optimize material flow and reduce excess inventory.
• Identify and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years to maximum 6 years of relevant experience in material planning within a manufacturing or engineering environment. (Especially in field of metal , plastic, OEM Industry)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to generate and analyze reports and data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision) is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and lean manufacturing principles.
