Material Coordinator

Role & responsibilities

1)

• Generating of system documents like MIN/MRN/BTN for material in material management system.
• Preparation of MINs to regularize direct issue of material at construction unit.
• As per request, identifying the material for which PR is required to be raised by construction unit, Coordinating with material codification team for codification, raising of PRs and Coordinating with Procurement dept. and construction for the technical clarifications
• Collecting and compiling of lookahead of material from various disciplines of construction unit and forwarding the same to respective commodity controller.
• Timely review of lookahead projections vs. issued qty discipline wise and advising construction unit and commodity controllers about the deviations if any
• Designing of various databases that will be maintained by Material management team
• Analyzing material constraints and resolving it by
• Coordinating with commodity group for getting allocation from free stock
• Deallocation material from lower priority job and allocating to higher priority job
• Excess issued to other plants and taking suitable steps
• Assisting construction unit for material reconciliation i.e. reconciling of issue of material with respect to MTO.
• Assisting construction unit by providing accurate material related data required for offloading of job among various construction unit contractors
• Interacting with project warehouse and resolving contractor day to day issues
• Interact with projects and resolve issues

Engineer Material Control -Site

• Receiving day to day material constraints from construction unit and shops and resolving it by
• Analyzing material constraints and resolving it by allocation from freestk
• Deallocation material from lower priority job and allocating to higher priority job
• Analyzing excess issued to units/shops and taking suitable actions on it
• Review and approval of lookahead received from construction unit /shops and taking suitable actions for the lookahead
• Timely review of lookahead projections Vs. issued qty to construction unit/shops and advising about the deviations if any
• Designing of various databases that will be maintained by Material management team
• Assisting material reconciliation of global workorders, MOU workorder.
• Interacting with project warehouse and assisting day to day material related issues
• Identifying the material for which PR is required to be raised for items not controlled by Core. Coordinating with material codification team for codification, raising of PRs and Coordinating with Procurement dept. and construction for the technical clarifications
• Advising sparability of items for various projects and blocking the same in system.
• Resolving queries from Design Department regarding material availability
• Assisting shop and construction unit for offloading of job among shop and construction unit
• Interact with Projects and Core Engineering

Preferred candidate profile

• Basic understanding about Material management process flow like how MTO gets loaded in material management system, receipt of material in warehouse, issue and returning of material takes place from stores
• Understanding of terms used in material management process like BOM/MTO/FMR/MIN/MRN/BTN/Constraint/ Netissue/sapcode/DOR
• Clear knowledge about material management system
• Basic understanding of types of material, MOC & Specs
• Understanding and proficiency of handling of Database
• Basic understanding of construction procedures and flow process
• Understanding of DOR
