We're Hiring – Technical Engineer Kochi, Kerala Full-Time | Mid to Senior Level Technical / Design Department We’re currently looking for a Technical Engineer to join our team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing shop drawings for bespoke furniture and high-end interior fit-out projects. What you'll be doing: Preparing detailed and accurate shop drawings based on project specs and production guidelines Working closely with our design, project, and production teams to ensure everything aligns technically and visually Reviewing architectural and ID drawings and developing practical technical solutions Making updates and revisions as needed, based on feedback from the design team or site Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to clarify technical points Keeping all files organized and up to date What we're looking for: 3 to 5 years of experience in shop drawings (preferably in furniture, joinery, or fit-out) Strong AutoCAD skills; experience with SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D tools is a plus Good understanding of materials like wood, laminates, veneers, metals, and related hardware Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure Good communication and teamwork skills If you know someone who might be a good fit, feel free to share this with them. About the Role We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Project Coordinator with solid experience in producing accurate and comprehensive shop drawings for high-end furniture and interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, be highly proficient in AutoCAD, and understand fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and precise shop drawings for custom furniture and joinery items based on design intent, client specifications, and manufacturing requirements Collaborate closely with the design, production, and project management teams to ensure all drawings align with technical and aesthetic expectations Interpret architectural and interior design drawings to develop technical solutions Ensure drawings are produced to scale, within tolerance limits, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations Revise and update existing drawings as necessary based on feedback from engineers, designers, or clients Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve design-related queries Maintain proper documentation and version control for all drawing sets Assist in preparing material take-offs and technical submittals when required Requirements Minimum 3–5 years of experience in shop drawing preparation, preferably in furniture, joinery, or interior fit-out Strong proficiency in AutoCAD ; knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other drafting tools is an advantage Excellent understanding of materials such as solid woods, any type of metal, veneers, laminates, and ironmongeries.
