About the Role

Marketplace Lead

sales, visibility, and profitability

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketplace Operations & Growth

  • Oversee complete marketplace operations across Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, Tira, etc.
  • Ensure accurate cataloging, listings, and A+ content aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Manage inventory planning, pricing, and promotions in collaboration with supply chain & finance teams.
  • Regular hygiene checks of product pages, keywords, and titles to maximize discoverability.
  • Benchmark competitors and identify opportunities for category expansion and portfolio optimization.

2. Marketing & Visibility

  • Plan and execute PPC and display ad campaigns on Amazon, Nykaa, and Flipkart.
  • Partner with creative teams to build performance-driven brand stores, A+ content, and promotional assets.
  • Optimize advertising spends for higher ROAS while driving visibility for hero SKUs and new launches.
  • Leverage data tools (Helium10, DataHawk, etc.) for insights into ranking, conversion, and keyword trends.

3. P&L Management & Strategy

  • Own the P&L for marketplace channels – driving topline growth while maintaining healthy margins.
  • Monitor spends (ads, commissions, logistics, and returns) and optimize for cost efficiency.
  • Develop monthly business reviews and financial forecasts with key KPIs (Revenue, ROI, RTO%, etc.).
  • Work closely with finance to maintain accurate budgeting and profitability tracking.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with marketing, supply chain, and finance to plan monthly sales and campaign calendars.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing for visibility drives, influencer tie-ins, and seasonal events.
  • Ensure high operational efficiency in order fulfillment and return minimization.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in managing marketplaces for

    Beauty, Personal Care, or FMCG

    brands.
  • Deep understanding of

    Amazon Seller Central

    ,

    Nykaa Seller Portal

    ,

    Flipkart Seller Hub

    , etc.
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel and marketplace dashboard experience.
  • Proven experience in managing

    ad budgets and campaign ROAS

    .
  • Understanding of

    pricing, discounting, and margin structure

    for online P&L.
  • Ability to lead a small team and coordinate across internal & external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or graduate in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Experience with data tools like Helium10, DataHawk, or SellerApp.
  • Prior experience in scaling D2C brands or handling premium beauty brands on marketplaces.
