About the Company

Business Development Manager

Role Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving market expansion, achieving ambitious sales targets, and cultivating strategic relationships within the dynamic Indian automation landscape. This role requires a blend of technical sales acumen, strategic planning, and hands-on relationship management with system integrators, OEMs, and end-users.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Sales

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across target industries (e.g.,automotive, packaging, machine tools) for our advanced automation solutions.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sales plans designed to meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, market trends, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Participate actively in industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to network, promote the company's brand, and generate leads.

Customer & Partnership Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting, trust-based relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with

    End user,

    Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)

    , and key distributors.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately conveyed and aligned with current and future product offerings.

Technical Expertise & Support

  • Present, demonstrate, and articulate the technical and commercial value proposition of our industrial automation portfolio to potential clients.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of high-impact sales presentations.
  • Develop and conduct technical sales training for the internal sales force to enhance product knowledge and selling capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5-8 years

    of dedicated experience in technical sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the

    industrial automation, pneumatics, motion control, or fluid power industry

    .
  • Track Record:

    Proven ability to meet or consistently exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
  • Technical Acumen:

    Strong conceptual and practical understanding of automation technologies, including components and system integration.
  • Education:

    A Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field) is highly preferred.
  • Travel:

    Flexibility and ability to travel extensively as needed to meet with clients, partners, and attend industry events across the region.

    Proficient in communicating complex technical solutions into clear commercial benefits.
  • Strategic Planning:

    Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year business and market penetration strategies.

    Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills (including proficiency in Microsoft Office/presentation software).
  • Market Analysis:

    Skill in monitoring and interpreting market data, competitor activity, and industry trends.
  • CRM Proficiency:

    Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for pipeline management and forecasting.
