Description
As a Marketing Development Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a pivotal role in developing strategic marketing plans for downstream marketing activities. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing strategic marketing plans for yearlong downstream marketing using a mix of physical (events, customer days) and digital marketing tactics. - Collaborating with business partners to implement plans that support demand generation and impact revenue. - Managing tactics from start to finish with support from cross-functional collaborators, vendor coordination, and internal/external collaborators. - Developing budgets and implementation strategies while collaborating with local and global partners, being agile to adapt strategies based on business requirements for maximum revenue impact. - Providing monthly and quarterly reports to business leadership on industry trends, marketing impact, competitor activities, and new product introductions. - Leading branding and communications efforts along with vendor management. - Supporting vertical marketing activities with industry trends reporting. - Developing and supporting long-term impactful Digital Marketing strategies. - Strategizing and implementing channel marketing and new product introduction (NPI) launches. To succeed in this role, you should possess: - Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills. - Successful history of implementing marketing tactics like events and tradeshows. - Proficiency in Excel for data analytics is a plus. Qualifications required for this role: - Education: B.tech in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical or equivalent experience, Masters in business administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategy/Ops/Marketing or equivalent experience. - Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in marketing roles, preferably in industrial or applied sectors. Experience with downstream marketing, event management, and digital marketing is advantageous. Team management experience is a plus. - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills to manage a team or collaborate with cross-functional partners. The role may require occasional travel based on event requirements and the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
