About the Role

You will lead brand activities for CottonGuru, CottonGuru Foundation, and CarbonGuru, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a hands-on role involving writing, creative thinking, deep research, and the end-to-end execution of plans that engage our audience and advance our mission across multiple verticals.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the editorial pipeline:

Website/CMS, social, videos, blogs, research reports, case studies, and bylined articles.
  • Run the editorial strategy & calendar:

Keep our voice consistent, clear, and compelling.
  • Research & reporting:

Track industry news, trends, policy, and value chains; interview stakeholders for deep dives.
  • Plan and ship campaigns:

Execute launches, milestones, and partnerships across social and email.
  • Visualize stories:

Use Adobe Suite/Canva/Gamma; maintain reusable templates and light motion/storyboards.
  • Distribute & repurpose:

Publish across LinkedIn, Substack, Medium, and the website with a steady, channel-fit cadence.
  • Build community:

Grow and engage followers and newsletter subscribers; surface feedback and nurture partners/creators.
  • Operate the tech stack:

Email campaigns, basic SEO, social scheduling/tools, and CMS (WordPress/Webflow).
  • Measure & improve:

Use GA4, Search Console, and LinkedIn analytics to test, learn, and double down on what works.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proof of work (required):

3–5 links (articles, LinkedIn threads, Substack/newsletters, case studies, reels/shorts, or campaign recaps)
  • Education:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, business, journalism, communication, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Creative storyteller:

Turn field realities (farmers, cotton/rice, AWD rice, MRV) into clear, memorable narratives for EU/US audiences.
  • Strong communicator:

Sharp writing and editing; adapt tone for founders, farmers, partners, donors, and media.
  • Tech-savvy marketer:

Comfortable with SEO, Google Analytics (GA4), LinkedIn analytics, newsletters, and a CMS (WordPress/Webflow). Bonus: Canva/Gamma/Adobe.
  • Analytics-first:

Define, track, and move KPIs; read what’s working and iterate.
  • Self-starter:

You ship, manage time well, and use AI tools smartly (outlines, transcripts, summaries) without losing editorial judgment.
  • Mission fit:

Genuine interest in cotton, carbon markets, and rural communities; open to occasional travel to farms and conferences.

What We Offer

  • Excellent pay:

    above industry standard
  • Hands-on experience:

Work on real projects across cotton, rice, and carbon—and see your work go live.
  • Freedom & ownership:

Set processes, experiment with strategies, and run end-to-end initiatives.
  • Mentorship & access:

Close-knit, agile team with accessible mentors; direct exposure to the CEO and senior leaders.
  • Stakeholder exposure:

Engage with farmers, FPC leaders, customers, partners, and regulators.
  • Networking:

Connect with leaders across sustainability, textiles, and climate tech.
  • Future opportunity:

Potential full-time role based on performance and contributions.
