The Marker cum Supervisor is responsible for reading engineering drawings, marking materials accurately according to specifications, supervising fabrication work, and ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety norms are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Marking & Layout Work:
• Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Mark lines, cutting points, and dimensions on metal plates, pipes, or structures.
• Ensure accuracy of markings as per drawing tolerances and material specifications.
• Supervision:
• Supervise and guide a team of fabricators, welders, and helpers during production.
• Allocate work as per daily schedules and monitor progress.
• Ensure proper usage of materials and tools to minimize wastage.
• Quality & Inspection:
• Check completed work to ensure compliance with drawing and quality standards.
• Report any deviations or non-conformities to the production manager.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Enforce safety rules and ensure proper use of PPE by all team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Coordination & Reporting:
• Coordinate with the planning and quality departments for work updates.
• Maintain daily progress reports and update job status to the supervisor/manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Fabrication / Fitting or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of experience in marking and fabrication supervision (preferably in shipyard, heavy engineering, or construction industry).
• Good knowledge of fabrication drawings and measurement tools.

Skills Required:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Knowledge of material types, cutting, and welding processes.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and quality orientation.
