Job Description Summary Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.). Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety. Tracks material plan and constantly endeavors to align the production plan based on material availability Team management of salaried employees. This may also include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees. In-depth technical understanding of PCBA’s, IC’s assembly and testing is required Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Prior experience of building business case for small capex projects and monitoring spend is required Required Qualifications This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing & Operation Management in a similar industry with demonstrated ability to lead team comprising of management and unionized workforce Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communications/ Electrical / Electronics with Minimum of 5 Years of Experience. Prior experience in similar electrical/electronic manufacturing industry is a must In-depth technical understanding of PCBA’s, IC’s assembly and testing is required Prior experience working in a unionized production environment is a must Proficiency in SAP, 8D & Lean Tools will be added advantage Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
