Manufacturing chemist

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing cum Product Development Chemist will be responsible for the formulation, development, and scale-up of oral liquid nutraceutical and health supplement products. The role involves end-to-end management from concept to commercial production, ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:1. Product Development

• Develop and optimize oral liquid formulations for nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, and health tonics.
• Conduct literature reviews, stability studies, and ingredient compatibility evaluations.
• Select suitable excipients, flavoring agents, and preservatives to ensure product stability, palatability, and efficacy.
• Prepare lab-scale and pilot-scale batches for new product development.
• Maintain proper documentation for formulation trials, protocols, and reports.

2. Manufacturing Operations

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day manufacturing of oral liquid formulations.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and quality control standards during production.
• Oversee dispensing, mixing, filtration, and filling operations.
• Support production scale-up from lab to plant level ensuring consistent batch reproducibility.
• Monitor yields, minimize process losses, and support cost optimization.

3. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all formulations and processes comply with FSSAI, GMP, ISO, and other relevant regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process and finished product testing.
• Participate in process validation and stability studies.
• Maintain batch manufacturing records (BMR) and product development records.

4. Coordination & Documentation

• Collaborate with R&D, QC, Packaging, and Regulatory Affairs teams for product approvals and commercialization.
• Prepare technical documents such as product specification sheets, formulation dossiers, and stability data.
• Participate in audits and support regulatory submissions when required
• 5.Qualifications & Experience:
• Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc (Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field).
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in oral liquid formulation development and manufacturing of nutraceuticals, health supplements, or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong understanding of formulation science, manufacturing equipment, and GMP documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
