Job Title: Manager Transport Operations Location: Mumbai Job Type: Full-time Experience Required: 8+ years in school/transport operations Industry: Education / Transport / Logistics About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Transport Operations to manage and oversee the end-to-end operations of our school bus transport system. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, efficiency, and punctuality of daily transport services while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Plan and monitor daily school bus routes and schedules for maximum efficiency and safety. Supervise drivers and transport staff, ensuring adherence to policies, safety protocols, and performance standards. Conduct regular audits of buses for maintenance, cleanliness, fuel logs, and safety checks. Handle daily dispatch operations and respond promptly to route changes or emergencies. Liaise with school authorities, parents, and vendors to address concerns and provide timely communication. Maintain documentation such as route plans, driver records, vehicle licenses, and service history. Ensure compliance with local transport laws, RTO norms, and school safety policies. Monitor GPS tracking systems and implement route optimizations or incident escalations when needed. Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely servicing and repairs of the fleet. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, transport operations, or a related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience in school transport or fleet management. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a large number of vehicles and staff. Working knowledge of GPS systems, MS Office, and transport compliance norms. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings.
