Tendering & Proposals function
This role is pivotal to the companys growth strategy, requiring a blend of strategic foresight, technical expertise, and operational excellence. The candidate will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, leading bid preparation, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely and competitive submissions that align with the companys business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Background:
B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Finance, or Operations (preferred)
- Certifications in Project Management, Contracts Management, or Renewable Energy (desirable)
Professional Experience:

years of experience in tendering, proposals, or business development within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in BESS and Solar EPC projects
- Proven track record of winning large-scale tenders (100 Cr+ preferred)
Key Responsibilities
Tender Identification & Strategic Evaluation
- Proactively monitor national and international tender portals, government agencies, utilities, and private clients for upcoming opportunities in BESS and Solar EPC.
- Conduct detailed analysis of tender documents including RFPs, RFQs, BOQs, technical specifications, eligibility criteria, and contractual obligations.
- Evaluate strategic fit, technical feasibility, and commercial viability of each opportunity, and present bid/no-bid recommendations to senior leadership.
Bid Management & Proposal Development
- Lead the end-to-end bid process, from initial evaluation to final submission, ensuring compliance with all tender requirements.
- Develop comprehensive techno-commercial proposals, incorporating engineering designs, execution methodology, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance, legal, project execution) to gather inputs and validate proposal components.
Cost Estimation & Pricing Strategy
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering equipment, civil works, installation, commissioning, logistics, taxes, duties, and contingencies.
- Formulate competitive pricing strategies based on market intelligence, historical data, and margin expectations.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and risk assessments to ensure profitability and sustainability of bids.
Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with OEMs, technology partners, and subcontractors to obtain quotations, technical clarifications, and commercial terms.
- Represent the company in pre-bid meetings, client interactions, and site visits to understand project scope and client expectations.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to structure bid bonds, bank guarantees, and contractual terms.
Documentation, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all submissions are accurate, complete, and compliant with tender specifications, statutory norms, and internal policies.
- Maintain a centralized repository of bid documents, templates, costing sheets, and lessons learned for future reference.
- Support internal and external audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of tendering processes and systems.
