Job Description

Job Objective

To manage the end-to-end tendering process including site visits, bid preparation, pricing, coordination with internal teams and clients, and ensuring timely and competitive submissions, while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and client requirements.

Key Responsibility

Pre-Tender Activities

  • Conduct site visits to understand the scope and nature of work.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings to gather essential project requirements and clarifications.
  • Float tender enquiries to vendors for material pricing and initiate negotiations to determine competitive rates.

Tender Preparation & Submission

  • Coordinate with supporting departments (resources/trimline planning, quality, admin, formwork) to prepare tender data sheets and define methodology of works.
  • Derive item-wise rates for tender submissions based on market inputs and internal analysis.
  • Review the tender documentation and cost workings with the Managing Directors.
  • Ensure accurate and complete submission of tenders upon receiving final approvals from senior management.
  • Monitor and adhere to timelines for timely submission of all tenders.

Post-Tender Activities & Client Coordination

  • Prepare project-specific presentations and deliver briefings to clients/consultants during post-bid discussions.
  • Attend negotiation meetings and provide relevant data and insights to seniors for strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate with clients for all post-bid formalities, including negotiations, job awards, agreement execution, and finalization of contract documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred)

Experience

512 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or business development in the construction or infrastructure sector.

Experience working with various contract types: Item rate, EPC, Core & Shell (Sqft), etc.

IT skills / Tools

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred to have advanced knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of project estimation software (optional)
